Stage One Screening provides pre-employment screening reports allowing clients the ability to make hiring decisions based on factual information.

Stage One Screening is a CRA (Credit Reporting Agency) and governed by the FCRA (Fair Credit Reporting Act) as well as state and federal laws.

We are committed to protect the confidentiality of information entrusted to our company.


PII Information & Security

Stage One Screening protects all information regarding PII (Personal Identifiable Information). All information is considered confidential and protected through a secured server. All information communicated via our secured server and website utilizes Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption.

Access to confidential information is limited to authorized personnel only.

Clients are credentialed in order to ensure they are authorized to obtain consumer information.


Information Submitted

SOS does not collect information for the purpose of maintaining a database of public records. Information provided to Stage One Screening is private and confidential. Stage One Screening shall only utilize the information obtained for the purpose for which the information is provided.


Internal Policies and Procedures

SOS maintains internal policies and procedures to ensure information is kept strictly confidential. Every employee is trained in observing the security protocols set forth regarding the confidentiality of information and clients. The office is classified as a “White Room”. Cellphones are not allowed. Visitors must sign in and are escorted within the premises. Personal belongings such as purses, briefcases, bags, etc. are inspected to ensure that no information/paperwork or any form of information unless authorized leaves the premises. All papers are shredded on the premises by an authorized contractor and observed by an SOS representative.


Safe Harbor

Stage One Screening complies with the US-EU Safe Harbor Framework and US-Swiss Safe Harbor Framework as set forth by the US Department of Commerce regarding the collection, use, and retention of personal information from European Union member countries and Switzerland.
